Hits for Hope, Steals For Strength
During the month of October, the VC Grit baseball team pledged $10 for every hit and stolen base to support local families battling cancer. Through their efforts, the team raised $750, which was used to purchase supplies for comfort bags for patients undergoing chemotherapy.
The players assembled and donated more than 50 comfort bags to the UCLA Oncology Center, each including a handwritten note of encouragement. Their generosity and personal messages brought comfort and support to patients during a challenging time, demonstrating that teamwork extends far beyond the baseball field.
